The Quest for Physical, Mental and Planetary Health
About Us

This space is the brainchild of Dr. Maria and Ember. We want to educate people about the ways that their health is tied to and impacted by environmental conditions on our planet. It is very easy to assume that the environment only affects people in developing countries or after disasters. We are realizing that many common health issues are impacted by the natural world. This is information that we feel is worth sharing. Our goal is to help people understand how their surroundings can affect their physical and emotional wellbeing. By learning about these connections, we are empowered to take actions to improve our health. If it also motivates us to take better care of our planet, that is a bonus.

The topics we will present here are of particular interest to us. We hope they will be useful to the readers of our blog. We will try to make them as timely as possible, and reflect seasonal conditions or specific events. Some of the subjects will be close to home and others global. If there is an action that can be taken to help our physical, mental or global health, we will point it out. If there are other sites that provide more specific or detailed information on these topics, we will provide links. While this information is generally applicable to personal wellbeing, we will not provide any specific medical advice. These posts should not prevent people from seeking medical evaluation or treatment from licensed providers.
